Since 2011, the Djarum Foundation has been dedicated to enhancing the quality of Vocational High School (SMK) education. To date, the Foundation has supported 18 SMKs in Kudus Regency, Central Java, developing 20 skill competencies across various fields, including Engineering, Maritime, Tourism, and the Creative Economy. The Foundation’s efforts have focused on several key areas: improving curriculum, providing teacher training, offering infrastructure support, and establishing a teaching factory, which is an innovative learning environment where students gain hands-on experience by working on real-world projects in accordance with market needs and industry demand.

Primary and Secondary Education represents the next step in advancing children's education in Indonesia. We believe that in addition to developing cognitive skills, children should be given the opportunities to cultivate social and emotional skills, which have been proven to impact success in life.

Starting in March 2021, we have partnered with the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) to develop students' social and emotional skills through learning activities. Through this program, we are collaborating with 22 primary state and religious schools (Madrasah Ibtidaiyah) as well as 20 state and religious (Madrasah Tsanawiyah) junior high schools in Kudus.

This initiative complements other programs that focus on differentiated learning to improve literacy and numeracy, preparing students with a comprehensive skill set for the future.

We believe that the development of human resources should begin at an early age. Since 2017, working in partnership with 36 schools, we have transformed early childhood education (PAUD) in Kudus to focus on play-based and inquiry-based learning. This approach involves training PAUD educators to use effective strategies that foster essential affective, cognitive, psychomotor, and 21st-century skills.

The children are prepared not just to advance to the next educational level, but also to cultivate a strong sense of curiosity, critical thinking skills, and the ability to solve problems systematically through computational thinking.
